Struck me today reading another message board just how lucky I am. The stroke could have affected my mobility and speech as it did (I have trouble forming words, never confuse them due to the stroke I did that before anyway lol) or heaven forbid my memory etc. At least this way my mind is as sharp as it ever was or wasn't! A poor woman posted and can't read, she needs help. I really would find that tough to deal with. Mobility I can live temporarily without, but being unable to post or blog? I certainly would miss it. Made me feel so lucky.

Been looking up recipes for banana loaf. Must use up some bananas and that's perfect. I might even get to eat some, earmarked to make later. My biggest piece of cookng since the stroke so wish me luck. Cooking isn't exactly my forte but cakes I can do. Worst was my curry a few years back, family put ketchup on it for flavour! When I announced I'd make curry the next week my son then 9 or 10 retorted "Is that wise?"
