Good for you. If you don't take care of yourself you won't be able to be there for them ANYWAY! Don't feel guilty...relax and enjoy! :hug:

I agree, It was hard for me too when I first left Ray and Mum home. But if you are ever to be an individual again and not "just a caregiver" there are times when you need to be solo.

And putting guilt on someone for taking some time out is a form of emotional blackmail that I don't give in to.

Go out, enjoy, rejuvinate. If you don't get some time to have fun, be yourself it will just wear on you and you will get resentful.
