Update Dec 10-16
Well, we have had a rather good week. Keith has had a bit of depression but not nearly as it was in weeks past. We are continuing to get away from the anti-depessant Lyrica. He is down to one 50 mg capsule a day with no major setbacks. I was thrilled to find that Keith now has intermitant voluntary movement in his thumb. It is not strong by any means yet but considering that this was something he could never do before is exciting. He is also saying words now that were never part of his extremely limited vocabulary. Words like tired, confused, macaroni, hot, and s.o.b. Hey, ya takes what ya gets. We have had a message from SCTI to let us know that annual flu innoculation may interfere with Keiths recent therapy. Our family doctor has agreed that we can wait awhile yet. All in all I feel pretty good about what we are experiencing thus far.
regardless of how small an improvement may be, it is an improvement to build on.
