Welcome to the blog community, I can share the VA experiences to some extent.

I'm at 40 percent presently with much more pending. I did finally get a scooter from them but not much else. I retired in '79, took them until now to grant any compensation. I bet a palm pilot is out of the question here.

I've got all the same aches and pains, more now than ever before. I've had rehab since 2004 from VA and others. I don't blog too often and am currently writing a short story to submit by the 31st.

Welcome to the blog community Mary. I am a pretty consistent blogger. It helps me sort my life out. I also like to read other people's blogs as, like chat, it helps me by seeing how they cope with life.

I've enjoyed our chats over the past year or so and am sure I will continue to do so. Good for you for trying something new.

I want to thank everyone for their comments. I got through the Holidays. We went to a New Year's party at The Elk's Club. I made it to about 10:30 p.m. and couldn't make it to midnight. We missed the champagne toast (not that I would have had any) and met some nice people. I am trying to keep in stream of life but it is hard. I felt like such a loser saying I needed to go home. We went home and watched Dick Clark on TV bringing in the new year.

Getting back to the New Year I wish everyone a Happy and Healthy New Year. I will be seeing everyone in chat. Chat is very therapuetic!

I don't know if anyone has missed me but it has been some time I have been on chat. I miss chat! My computer is working fine but for some reason everytime I go into chat it throws me off the internet. I can read the blogs and even send a email. Anyone know what is wrong?

Wow! It's been sometime since I have blogged. All I wish to say here that it is my 5 year anniversary tomorrow, May 5th. I am so happy that nothing more has happened to me and I am a survivor. I have throughly enjoyed this site and made many friends. Thank you everyone.

I am defintely a bad blogger. It's been 9 months since my last blog. I still enjoy the Chat everynight........when I think of it. With the new site I had a time to find my name to do a new blog.

New news: I have a new granddaughter who is 11 months old tomorrow. My husband and I are very proud to be grandparets.

May 4 will be my 6 year anniversary since having a stroke. I am grateful I made it this far without a new ailment.
