Sharon, life is a cycle, so we are sad, mad, happy, cheerful, sad etc. I guess all you can do is empathise where you can, sympathise where you can, and encourage people to look on the bright side of life.

Through Ray's hospitalisation friends have sent me a lot of fun emails in the hopes I'll get a laugh out of them. Some have phoned, some have sent cards and letters to Ray. It all helps. It all says they care.

I think just being there for people and expressing your concern for them is the best any of us can do. If you are a praying person do that too. Hope things cheer up soon.

I was wondering if some of those feeling depressed are just sick of winter weather! I remember how it used to affect my mother - she would be miserable by the time spring came. I think she had that light deprevation syndrome!

I know that my venting and feelings of being down are weather related. I'm just SO sick of winter and being cabin bound at the drop of a hat.

I, too, noticed all the venting and depression threads recently. I don't know what we can really do to help except to make sure the posts are answered so people don't think they are alone without any one listening.

I'm sure that in the spring there will be lots and then we'll be saying we wish it would freeze for just day so we could get rid of the pesky little devils..I too hate the gloomy days of winter and long for the sunny days of the tropics .. though I don't think any one had the greatest weather as I know someone who took a cruise and the ship was listing in the high waves and gales..We have lots of snow here too but not like some of the areas in the east.. here's to spring :big_grin: :big_grin: :
