AS I'VE MENTIONED IN MY POSTS, WE'RE HERE VISITING MY SISTER IN THE NORTHWEST SUBURBS OF CHICAGO. NOW SOME OF OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY HAVN'T SEEN RACHEL IN MONTHS. THEY ARE AMAZED AT HER PROGRESS. SHE IS SPEAKING MORE UNDERSTANDABLY ALL THE TIME. ONE OF OUR FRIENDS TOLD RACHEL SHE INSPIRED HER. I JUST CRIED WHEN I HEARD THAT, BEAMING WITH JOY!!!

EVERY NEW DAY IS TRULY A MIRACLE. I FEEL BLESSED.

Lisa,

Glad you all are having a great time with family and friends. Sometimes it takes the input from those not around on a daily basis to inspire us even more in our recovery journey. I know for me, at this stage of my life post, I sometimes don't see the improvements but those not around me all the time will pick up on them. Rachel - keep on keeping on.

Lisa,

Getting away from home can really help everyone's perspective. It is also true that people who see the stroke survivor daily (not to mention the survivor herself) do not see the changes since they are gradual. It sometimes takes someone who has seen for a while to notice the changes.

Sounds like your trip is going well. Congrats!

Glad you are all having a GOOD time and visit. Yes when you are "dealing" with something every day, some of the changes are gradual and subtle. Glad the changes are so noticable to others.. kind of gives you a New erspective also.
