Well the weekend at the shore fizzled as Tropical Storm Noel came up the coast and dire weather predictions kept us home. The wife went shopping with our daughter and I went to the food store, got in supplies and made a big pot of Chili! I use ground turkey, nobody suspects it is turkey! :yukyukyuk: I add a few hot peppers, some red and green peppers, onion, and a little minced garlic. Brown this in skillet then add to large pot with 1 large can crushed tomatoes, 1 can diced tomatoes, 1 can pinto beans, one can black beans, one can dark red kidney beans. I add 1/4 cup of chili powder, 1 Table spoon red pepper and a dash of hot sauce. I use no salt products when I can find them and check the label for lowest sodium if I can't get salt free. Anyway, garnish with some shredded low fat cheddar and eat with your favorite bread or crackers (low salt!). I enjoyed it and helped me feel better about the weekend, comfort food! :Clap-Hands: YUM!!
