thanks for your post...yes it's incredibly monotonous and frustrating...what a combo...my therapist at arrc told me that my nonaffected hand can definately assist my affected hand...for example helping place the fingers of my left hand on the refridgerator door...i'm using the saebo alot...my goal is to get some extension back in my fingers so i can go back to arrc for constraint induced movement therapy...this has been the most promising therapy i've done since i stroked in february 2006!...again thanks for sharing...it's great feeling support from someone on a similar path!

You are so right Rich..what a combo! I was trying to open my fridge today (didn't happen) and I was thinking of you. same thing when I was trying to flip the light switch..I immediately thought of you, your blog and the effort you are putting out. I admire you so much and always look forward to reading your next entry. I can move my arm, hand and fingers, extension is no problem, it is the lack of sensation/feeling that makes it so hard along with the weakness.

So now when I try to turn on the light switch in the bathroom (the switch is the only room that is on my left which is a little easier) I will think of you all the time..LOL! I will think if Rich can do it, so can I. You are very inspiring Rich..thank you and BRAVO! to you!

RICH,

I JUST STARTED READING YOUR BLOG TODAY AND LEARNED SO MUCH! I ADMIRE YOUR DETERMINATION AND PERSEVERANCE. I REALLY TRY TO INCORPORATE MY WEAK LEFT ARM INTO DAILY TASKS BUT IT GETS FRUSTRATING. SOMETIMES I FORGET ABOUT IT AND I KNOW I CANNOT DO THAT. DOCTORS HAVE TOLD ME I WON'T GET STRONGER SO THERAPY IS PRETTY MUCH USELESS AND HOPELESS. THANK YOU THE INFO IN YOUR BLOG!
