Today was another one of THOSE days. It was beautiful outside but I did not feel like getting out. These allergies and sinus have got me by the throat, literally, and won't let go. Maybe if I wasn't so fat - I would not be so easy to get down with this gunk. Hans hasn't felt really good either. We had a really late breakfast and then Phyllis and Wes brought us plates from a benefit that we would liked to have gone to. That was lunch and supper all in one. We had desert and juice later on. Maybe tomorrow will be a better day. Have to take the van in to get the rear window replaced. Even though Friday was the first, it was like the thirteenth for me. Didn't feel good to start with. Then my watch fell off my wrist. Fortunately, I heard it drop and picked it up. Then the window got broken out by a screw from the fellow doing my Aunt's lawn. It was blown into the window with such force that it shattered the whole thing all over the driveway and into the back of the van. I swept glass for two solid hours. Taped everything up - just give me the Duck Tape and I can fix most anything. Took my Aunt to the Dr. in a town 25 miles South of here. She just needed her Doctor fix for the week. Nothing wrong but when you make an appointment with a specialist, you just don't break it because you can't see out your back window. Sometimes I get upset with her because of this but cannot let her know. After all, she is 92 and has no children to care for her. I'm the closest person she has unless you count my Dad who is 87 and drives really bad. When we got to the Dr. offices, we were at the wrong building. I had to load Hans back in the van and get over to the next building. We were a few minutes late and then Hans did not want to get out. I rolled down the windows and left him in the van. Felt bad about that but had no choice. Then on the way home, the passenger seat - which comes out so Hans can sit up front in his wheelchair - came loose and nearly threw my Aunt into Hans' lap. It was scary at the time but then we all had a good laugh about it. All in all, it was a crappy day. I finally broke down and cried. It seemed to help. Now tomorrow, I will be without a car all day while the window gets fixed. Hans' aide did not show up today and he did not want to get out of the house. The cat I doctor for my aunt just did not get doctored this morning. Phyllis did it this evening. I wish I had the guts to fire her and ask for someone else from the agency. She is hardly ever on time and has changed up our days so many times that it's really confusing. Hans likes her though and I guess that is worth something. She is good to him. Doesn't do much of anything right and won't learn when I tell her how to do it. She just shrugs and says what she has done is not like Miss Joy would do but it will have to do. I just want to scream at her to do it like Miss Joy would do and things will be better. Oh well, another thorn in the side. Gotta go to bed before I get off on the whole world. Pope John Paul has died, my favorite Priest in all the world is retiring and moving away ( and I'm not even Catholic), Hans' aide is not good (for me), Aunt Ruby is demanding and a hypochondriac, I am such a woos and won't stand up for myself and my hair is fuzzy from the latest perm. Maybe tomorrow will be a better day even without the van here. I hope so. So long.

Hi Joy,

Welcome to our blog community!

I understand what you mean about allergies and spring. It can be so pretty out, but still make you Soooo sick!
