It's summertime and the TATTOOS are Showing

:Clap-Hands: Okay, most of you know I use a scooter at work so my line of sight is about butt high at best and many, many, many of our customers come in Walmart with their low cut shorts, skirts and pants where their tattoos show. I can not help but notice which is what I think they want to accomplish while shopping in a cool store.

Anyway, this summer it appears that the tattoos have gotten a little bigger while some of the customers have gotten a little bolder in their display of them. Can you imagine how tired my eyes are after 8 hours of exposure to the art they display?

Sometimes I feel like I'm at a nude beach resort when they show up in their two piece swim attire without a wrap. It's not much the police say either when they observe their dress since Walmart is private property and Walmart doesn't have any signs saying no shirt, no shoes, no service posted anywhere or on any entrance door.

The store is located right in the housing community on the main drag where they can walk from their back yard swimming pools to the store in minutes. Even I only live a couple miles from the store but I drive my car rather than ride my scooter that far taking a chance of getting hit. The temps have been around mid 90's and near 100 degrees every day.

So, it's going to be a long hot summer filled with shoppers showing their best tattoos. It's a tough job being a People Greeter but somebody has to do it. Then there is the Thong crowd young and old alike with the knit see thru clothes they are not ashamed to show.

And wouldn't you know I'm in the garden center right next to the swimming pool supplies, BBQ pits and patio furniture. Sometimes I have to ride all the way to the grocery side of the store to exchange items or carry back items they now don't want which was on ice to prevent it from spoiling.

Fred, to some people your job would seem like heaven, you get all the joys of people spotting and get paid too! I had to smile at the description of some of your customers because our shopping centre is not far from the beach and the young people come there in the same state of half-dressed in summer too. I guess through most of us see the upstairs rather than the downstairs like you do from your scooter height. Must ask Ray what he sees. Or maybe that is why he is always wearing a silly grin?

I am jealous of your temperatures with a cold wind blowing off the Snowy Mountains 500 miles away. It would be nice to have a few days of 100 degrees, especially beside a pool with a marguerita in hand. Ah well! I can dream can't I?

Hey Fred

One of the memories in my life, that has most marked (maybe warped) my mind was when my wife and I were on a cruise 6 years ago. We went snorkeling off a boat from the ship. It was me, my wife and a group of six, sixty something men all at least 40 pounds over weight. You would expect at least fairly modest swimming suits but when they were ready to go into the water they all pealed down to skimpy thongs that looked almost like nothing was there, especially when we were unfortunate enough to get the Full Monty from the backside. My biggest concern changed from watching for jellyfish to making sure I didn't sit on a bench any of them did. I told my wife then and there that if I ever lose my dignity and self esteam to the point I would dress like that, she has my permission to just put one between my eyes and put me out of my misery.

Thanks for the "insightful" post.

Dave

Hi Fred,

Yes sir, your blog was "insightful" as AJ said. I bet you do get an eyeful. Can you just imagine the eyeful the tatoo artist gets when applying these tatoos? Modesty and decency has flown out of the window I think.
