Vacation and strokes

Summertime is when we often expect to get a bit of a break from the normal busy routine of life. Not so for us this year. While my daughters are usually gone for half the summer, one decided to stay home which has meant that we have become sleepover central and teenage transit authority. You can imagine then how I was looking forward to a restful vacation.

We have discovered the perfect vacation spot for our family where we can all find entertainment to fit our abilities. It is a Christian Conference center on the North East River in Maryland. Speaking sessions are available for adults as well as music concerts and opportunities for fellowship. The teens have their own activities which seem to include getting dirty, wet and sweaty. Then there are hours that we can all come together again and spend time together and share what we have done apart. It sounds peaceful doesn

Sorry to hear about your Aunt. Glad you were still able to enjoy your week after all was said and done. Cell phones have created another dimension for us in being able to reach out and touch someone huh.

So glad your vacation had something for everyone and that you've had the opportunity to build lasting memories. God Bless.

You had a vacation! Good for you. I always say that I have to pay for every good time we have and we do but it is worth it! That is how you build up memories for the rest of your life.

Sorry to hear about your aunt having the stroke. We all know the reality of that. BUT we all know there is mostly more recovery than the doctor's pessimistic first opinion. So now you will be a good resource for your family as you share your knowledge and experience.

Hope you are now much refreshed by your vacation.

(((hugs))) from Sue.

I am so happy for all of you. every vacations can & wil have some glitches in it, but in end how you take it makes it succesful or miserable trip. It's our attitude to every event in our life defines how our life will be turned out. It always feels great to see how far you have come. you have come long way since your husband's stroke.
