Under The Radar

Ah, a newbie to the board and just setting things up. As such this is - likely - going to go unread, but then again I have nothing better to do at the moment.

Who am I? What am I?

Just a two year survivor and a writer.

My goals?

To stay a survivor and improve my one handed typing. And try to find others who are writing about strokes.

Welcome to the wonderful world of blogging... I am a caregiver to my husband, Dave who is a two year stroke survivor.

You are a writer, what kind of material do you write.

Hi Wilson,

Welcome to the Blog Community. And you thought your entry would go unread. Nope. Doesn't happen here. Granted not all entries may be commented on but they are read. Blogging gives others a chance to get to know you. We know so far you are a 2 year survivor and a writer. Your goal to stay a survivor shows a great attitude. Your one-handed typing was impressive.

Looking forward to hearing more about you.

by the way, we have a creative writing newsletter every feb and the deadline for submission is not until december 30th....perhaps you will contribute.

Amen brother on the one hand, in my case one finger typing, and you've found others willing to talk about strokes, surviving, and recovering trying ti use what we got left and moving forward without "looking back."

Well I'm not a writer, can hardly read especially when the paragraphs go longer than about 7 lines long without a break. I'm here to learn all I can about strokes and recovery, medicines that works and procedures that may help me recover one day.

For now I walk a little with a quad cane and ride a scooter, have been since 2004. I drive, go to church, was working until last Tuesday, now on short term disability for 6 months. We welcome you to the Blog community and you see the responders huh?

If you haven't already, introduce yourself under the newbie Forum so we can officially welcome you to the site. Would love to know how you found us hiding out in plain site.

Hi Wilson!

The only way your blog won't be read is if you make it private, otherwise...WE WILL READ IT!!!! Its nice to know you can get something off your chest, vent a little, share accomplishments, and in general share whats going on in your life with others. I hope you enjoy the site and become a regular blogger. We are always excited when new entries are added!

The kind that doesn't sell well! No, seriously...Fusion genre, horror and humor. I thank you all for the welcome and will go do a quick bio hazard, I mean bio, on the intro threads.
