In in 94 it was my dad, a brain stem stroke that was fatal in a few days. In 96 it was my mom, a hemmoragic stroke fatal in 8 days. My husband was on New years eve 1996. Maignant hypertension stooke followed be several TIAs Then we nad a reprieve.till 07 Mine was not even to happen caused by a medical procedure. I am living proof that my brother and I are really Tuff and we are survivors

Naomi,

Welcome! We are neighbors by way of Kentucky & Ohio. What a great first post and nice introduction.

Stroke has certainly been present in the life of your family. You mentioned your brother had a stroke and there are no noticeable deficits. If I may, what type of stroke did he have? I am always curious about these stroke survivors.

Keep on blogging!

Hi Mom: WOW, what a wonderful first entry. You are a real blessing. It is a true honor to meet you. I have WES to thank for that. One good thing Stroke has done is put us all together. Otherwise, I wouldn't have such wonderful partners in crime to be with. :) I so enjoyed reading your entry and I am happy you are a blogger now. You truly seem like a fantastic Mom, Friend, Daughter of GOD. Wes is blessed to have you. Your family seems like a very loving group of individuals. I think it is so awesome how they have all been a part here ..... Gives all of us hope and strength. Love is the best medicine one can have. It's all a God Thing.

Please keep those entries coming. I am starting a Mom Fan Club just for you. God Bless, Hugs n Love, Jan

I am so very thankful for such a loving family. I will never understand why the last year had to happen, but I am so glad that we have each other to lean on.

Great first try Naomi. Please keep blogging, you did great. I dont read all the blogs, everyday but I try to read Wes' s, and now yours. I love the closeness of your family, how everyone rallies together. And I can see where Wes gets his trooper character. It is there in his and your blogs. You guys inspire me. I wish my family was like yours. You are far apart yet so close. It is beautiful to see the love in your writings. Like Asha said, yes we want tips. Take care,
