Messed Up The Other Day!

Sam has been doing great on her exercises. Working hard, getting stronger. On Sunday afternoon, she was standing up and down with her walker. She started up, lost her balance, and started to tip. I grabbed for her but only caught her sleeve, and she hit the floor.

Bloody nose, bump on the forehead, she said her neck was sore, so I packed her up and took her to the ER. Dr did a check, nose bruised but not broken. Neck was just strained. X-ray showed no problem with anything, but a CAT scan had a spot he was worried about. We got an ambulance ride to a bigger hospital downtown where a neurologist was on duty. He looked at the scan, did another one, and decided to keep her overnight for observation. Another scan in the AM showed no bleeds, and they got her previous records to compare. The spot was there, too. Thankfully everything was OK and she was released.

Scary stuff. It just takes a split second. Gotta be 100% on this stuff. Mess up once and bad things can happen. We were lucky on this one!!!

Hey that's great everything turned out in her favor. Nothing broken. Still be careful around the home front.

So glad to hear nothing major happened from Sam's fall. Just like the stroke, a fall can occur as quick as lightening.

Hope this does not give a setback in her recovery.
