It has been a few days since I posted anything and there is a reason for that. I had mentioned previously that I still had some pine trees to deal with and so last weekend I got a phone call asking if they could start getting the job done. I couldn

Thank you for your entry, Naomi.

Your yard sounds a lot like my mother's, except things in her's happened in a slightly different order. Because of "the" ice storm, she decided to have several trees taken down on her property, but before the crew could finish cleaning up, we got dumped on by snow so cleanup had to wait. Now that the snow is melting (hip-hip hooray!) she's looking at the remaining debris and counting the days until the lawn is solid enough for them to come back and finish what they started My father passed away a few years ago, and it sounds as if both of you are doing an incredible job rallying to your tasks, although I know they can sometimes seem overwhelming. She has strong faith, too.

Which leads me to thank you for what I really appreciate in your entry, your scripture selection and your commentary. I have to admit (don't like to, but have to) that I've allowed my faith to get buffeted a lot more than I should, but I do know that I do better when I take things out of my hands and put them back in His where they belong. I have often thought that, in respect to being "born again", that I'm still being born and I must be breech because I tend to put up one heck of a struggle with my "trust" issues. I'm not a new Christian, so you'd think I'd know better by now.

And God does give us what we need when we need it. I see you entered this post yesterday and I'm only reading it today...just this morning I started mentally formulating my own blog entry about my frustration or discouragement in looking at some of my progress as seeming piddly and knowing I had to get my focus back so that I can start seeing them in the right perspective again. Your last comment about remembering where we're from has quieted my frustration, so I thank you for that. I know it's Him, but you were the messenger. :)

I just wanted you to know that there's someone in NH that appreciates your insight and your postings a whole lot!

Ii hope you have a great weekend, Naomi.

If I have helped you in any way, then I am very glad about it! We are all on this journey together.

There are times for all of us when trusting isn't easy. Guess that is when faith comes to the rescue. Even when our faith is weakened by the struggles of life, it is amazing to me how we are reminded of whose we are and who is really in control!

You keep the faith and have a great weekend too!

hey Naomi:

loved your blog, even though I know first hand I don't have control over anything except my reaction to situation, I still forget and try to control the situation. I find reading blogs very helpful. It makes me realize my mistakes.
