Home Again, Home Again

As my son said at the airport before my departure for home, "Mom, this was just so wonderful. It was good for the soul." As I sat outside in the mornings, there is something about the fresh Michigan air that cannot be duplicated. We had a bit of rain one afternoon and evening and that was it. It was cool, but with a sweater I didn't even notice the coolness.

I continue to be amazed at Matt. He is such a wonderful father. He never raises his voice. When he asks the boys to set the table, they get up and set the table. When he wants them to fold the clothes from the dryer (yes, boys - ages 9 and 14) and they haven't done it, he just tells them not to forget that it should be done before they go to bed...done. He plays basketball with them. If one loses, no crying, no pouting....He praises them for how well they did. Praise...Praise...Praise. They don't have a lot of money. They don't "want" for a thing, and their house is bursting with love...What more could a Mom/Grandma ask for? Matt and Amber are separated and do get along well for the boys. At dinner Matt turns on very soothing Native American music. It was so relaxing. The boys responded to the music very well too.

Check out my Pictures. (None of us look undernourished!!!) I had a good trip back and it was good to get home. I think I'm back in the swing of things now. Today we had to take our big Siamese cat, Roy to the vet. He has a problem when he eats too much dry food. I won't say anything more about that!!!

Ann, you look just wonderful, you look like a mom and granma and no longer like an overburdnened caregiver. You look so young and vivacious, isn't it fantastic what a holiday can do for you?

Hope you and Bill settle back in together. I always find that the hard part.

(((hugs))) from Sue.

Ann,

Sometimes it is hard to tell, other times it is so very clear when a person expresses an experience in their life which touched their soul in a wonderful way. I just wanted to mention that it came through loud and clear in this blawg entry how valuable this experience was for you and I sit here with a smile knowing that. This is the kind of stuff that I find inspiring. Great blawg entry about a great experience.

Ann you look great. I know that you must feel refreshed. Now the getting back into the grove will take a couple days then things will settle down. I am proud of you for being so brave to strike out on your own and leave hubby behind. It is hard but good for us.

Ann,

Welcome home dear and Happy Birthday too!! The family pictures are terrific. Could see your contentment as you had the opportunity to spend time with Matt and the boys.

You definitely deserved this break ad the opportunity to create loving and lasting memories. I'm so happy for you.

Now, it's back to work :)

Ann,

Such a beautiful family. I'm sure Matt's parenting skills were learned by from an excellent role model. The hair looks great and well worth the effort of hunting down the left behind iron. I'm sure it'll be the first in the bag in July. Good to get home but I'm sure you're looking forward to your next visit with Bill this time to enjoy the wonders of the boys.

Love you,

Maria :mwah:
