Larry and Julie's week
We have been enjoying the nice weather and I've been able to get Larry outside for a couple of walks. He doesn't do much in the house for exercising except for watching basketball. I don't think that is any kind of therapy. lol I will schedule him for more therapy this week as the Botox injections were two weeks ago. It's funny but he never refuses to go to therapy even thought he doesn't exactly "love" it. I guess he knows that is best for him. Maybe he just likes the therapists who help him. I'm just the nagging spouse he sees every day!
I was able to get a little yard work in. I put some more grass seed down in the bald spots, and trimmed my Japanese Maple. The grass is long but my neighbor's grass on each side is just as long. The yard service will come this week. Things are blooming quicker here and it is the warmest March we have had since 1910.
Larry needed a new sports jacket as his was way to large. I saw that Kohls here had a sale. Larry had a gift cert. from Christmas and I also had a 30% coupon. I drove to Kohls, got Larry a wheelchair inside and we went to the men's dept. One of the sales assoc. was nearby and I asked her for help. Larry tried on a couple of jackets and we actually found one. He went from a 46L to a 42L! When I checked out, I gave her my coupon and cert. She said I had to use my Kohl's car for some of it and I said "okay". I got the coat free as I had a $3.25 credit and the balance was $2.99.
Yippee! :jig: What a shopping extravaganza! Larry is looking forward to his engineering technology reunion and I am happy he wants to go.
We went to church last night, so today we had the day free. I asked Larry if he would go to the Botanical Gardens and he said "yes". The weather was great - high of 76. I had a long sleeved shirt and light windbreaker on him and he still got chilled! I asked for a motorized scooter this time. Last time I pushed him in a manual wheelchair and I almost let him roll once. There are a lot of hills on the pathway. The chair worked great but boy the place was mobbed with people. Everything was blooming, even some of the azaleas, tulips, crabtree, and other flowering trees. It did us both good to get some fresh air. He walked back to the parking lot and was exhausted after that. I was hoping we could get lunch there but didn't push it.
On to another week and whatever comes our way. I hope and pray everyone has a good week.
Julie
