Our "goings on" and Larry's "oops moment"
We had several events from last week. Our computer crashed again, and I am typing on the laptop, which I don't like. We think maybe we got hit by a virus on JAVA, and also we installed some software which was not compatible with our Windows Vista. Anyway, we are done with Windows Vist and going back to Windows XP. It seems like everything is jinxed by me when it comes to new technologiy. I will stay with my old basic cell phone for now. lol So far the TV is ok.
I get Larry up after I have had my coffee in the morning but he is hard to wake up. It's funny as he use to get up before the crack of dawn. I get him up, help him get dressed and then he eats breakfast. After that, he has to sit a while and watch the news. He went to shave and brush his teeth, as usual, came back and called me from the other room. He had missed the chair and was sitting sprawled on the floor, one leg crossed under. I couldn't let him lean on his chair as it moves, so I moved the big heavy cocktail table over and had him lean on it while I called my neighbor. She came over and we had him up in a flash. I just needed another set of arms. Larry is lucky as he has fallen before but never hurt himself. His balance is good but he wasn't paying attention to back up further.
Yesterday was our granddaughter's 14th birthday. I can't believe how time flies. She is tall and thin and maybe a little more than my 5'5". Our son in law is always there helping Larry in the house and parking our car so I can get back out easily with Larry. I bring his straw, milk urinal, etc, but forgot his cushion. The chairs sometimes get too hard for his little behind. We had almost 60 degree temps and everyone of course is warm but Larry. lol Our granddaughter is a Justin Beiber fan and had him on her BD cake. She also received tickets to his show. Wow! Her one grandmother had a friend make a Snoopy quilt for her room with Snoopy scenes on one side and Snoopy all over on the other. There was a patch showing it was from her grandmother and paw paw for her 14th BD. We gave her cash (her other favorite thing) lol Next month is our other granddaughter's BD and she will be 6.
Larry has funny dreams in which he remembers the details. He had a pet pig that ended up having 24 little piggies. The Dept of Agriculture came over and gave him bottles to feed them. He and my son got the old cast iron stove (which we don't have anymore) and put it in the pen to keep the piggies warm. lol Anyway, his dreams are funny and sometimes so unlike him.
I hope 2013 will be good for all of us.
Julie
