mental illness is scary things

I am so saddened by robin williams death. after dealing with my own depression I thought I know what will help in treating depression. His death showed me every mental illness is different & so will be the treatment plan. No family, friends, support group or money can help every one. I guess chemical imbalance that causes depression is different than depression you go through after encountering loss in your life. I guess sadness you go through after loss is completely different ball game. I just had to write this blog to get off the sadness of loosing such a great guy. I loved the friendship he shared with chris reeves. from all his charity work one can see he was such a great guy so I feel so sad for his death. I hope & pray his soul will rest in peace now & his family wiill get stregth & courage to get through this difficult period in their life.

I completely agree with you. If someone is battling this for any period of time, there is no telling what goes through ones mind. Depression coupled with drug and/or alcohol is a  deadly combination. I don't want to and won't talk about what could have or shouldn't have taken place instead I want to share my frustration with the misdiagnosis of the invisible illness. So many people not only in show business but after combat or some other form of trauma, are just swept under the rug because they continue to have a upbeat life or make others laugh. I'm reminded of Pierrot ( the sad clown)  Trying to put on a funny face when inside he is sad.

Well said Asha and Kelli,  and it does show that mental illness is not been deal with.  Like I said having  fame, money, is not everything.  When I haded depression,  I would have "bad thoughts"  thank goodness I did not do something terriable.    My heart goes to his daughter, who  came off soical media, because of people been  unkind. What is wrong with humans?  We are losing our values, and the way we treat every one.

I agree Asha, I was weeping when I first read the news on Robin Williams, such a great and funny and positive guy.  So much the world needed to learn from him, but his end...can't understand...won't try to from now on....And Yvonne, yes you are right, what is wrong with us?  I blame it on money...I blame it an individualism which is brought by the system to everyone...it's killing us before it kills itself, the system...anyway...there's always hope, still hope, and when I share my blog and ideas with you all out there, I feel much stronger =).  That's a fact! every second is a gift!

Healthy and happy days to all of you.  My blessings to Robin Williams' daughter, family and fans.
