well, here it is, its a new year , time for making a new year resolutions, however, lets make this new year resolutions something very , very, special. not your normal want to lose weight , or to quit smoking. lets make a new year resolution as a stroke surviver, for instance , I promise to not beat on myselfand blame me for anything to do if I can"t seem to do it right, and I will try to always be positive about my journey of recovery, and finally I will try as my new year resolutions to not get so stress out if it seems to take so long , I will just do the very best I can to get as munch recovery as I can and not blame me for if I am not wher I want to be, and my new year resolution is that I will always treat other people in my libes friend, or spouse, or caregivers, the way I would like to be treated. your journey of recovery is your very own we all have challenge, we all have shortfall, we all fell sad , we all want more, we all are human, so lets make a pact. that we wont be so hard on ourselves if the stroke recovery don"t go so well, just remember your family is there for you to help you any way that they can so yes you a=re blessed to be able to do what you canso lets make live a little easy for you just to do the best that you can, not to complain to yourself if you feel like your journey of recovery is not going as well as you think that it should. know that recovery takes time it"s like the turtle slow but it wins the race we are all in this together we are all stroke surviverso my new year resolution is simply to do the very best that I can at this point in recovery and to not challenge myself when I am very tired and most important on my journey of recovery to not stress myself over how long, or how tired I may be or maybe weither or not my memory is good or not, I will love life to the fullest. I will always be happy that I can do what I can and I will never compare about how well someone may be doing if I can"t do and the best thing about making your new year resolutions about how I will be as a stroke surviver is youwon"t sress over anything that you can"t help, and you will always have a whole year to succed, on your journey of recovery

Lenny, yes it is time, I made mine already and hope you have made yours too already!!!!

I just want to get better in my body with no pains and can do more things with my body!!!!

I think and feel 10 years as a stroke survivor is enough time to know I want to recover and be able to dance again with my wonderful wife out on the dance floor....

Hi Lenny,  I don't make  New years Resolutions,   I never seem to keep them.   I love yours.  I am please that I have made  it through the year.  Last month I lost my cousin to caner, he was 56years old.  Then on Sunday, my good friend lost her sister who was also 56. These  death  tell me enjoy life, live it to the full. What I have been telling myself,  that each day I will find joy, and laugh more then I cry.

Merry Christmas Lenny

Love and Hugs
