Visual impairment leads to very minor disaster
One of my holiday traditions is to make peanut brittle for friends and family I use my mother's recipe which has been handed down from generation to generation and I am continuing that tradition of course I'm like my mother and grandmother before her I have to use a candy thermometer.
The final stage of making the peanut brittle is heating up the molten sugar thermometer and took it up to 350 degrees F nothing worse than the smell of burnt sugar and burnt peanuts.
No harm no foul another part of the new normal.
That was Thursday night and Friday I spent seven hours making peanut brittle
Tomorrow is our family Christmas party where my mother in law I rent a hall cuz there's so many of us and I'm already getting messages from some of the cousins are you making your famous peanut brittle this year I may not have any money to buy gifts but boy I can sure make peanut brittle and banana nut bread you know it's just fun to be able to give things to people that you put your heart and soul into.
Be blessed and be a blessing,
Jay
