IT NEVER ENDS

I WAS RIGHT. THE THERAPISTS IN THE REHAB CENTER WERE NINCOMPOOPS (spelling). WHEN I WENT TO THE NEW NEUROLOGIST, HE SET ME UP WITH THE DR./THERAPIST IN HIS OFFICE. HE REVIEWED MY PROGRESS AND NOTED THAT WHEN I GET TIRED, I TEND TO GET LAZY AND DRAG MY LEFT LEG A LITTLE. MY OVERALL WALKING IS MUCH BETTER, LIKE A DUCK.

ONE THING HE SUGGESTED WAS TO HAVE MY AFO TRIMMED TO MAKE IT MORE FLEXIBLE AND ADAPTIVE. I DO TAKE LONG WALKS AND THIS WOULD HELP ME KEEP FROM DRAGGING WHEN I TIRE. I ASKED THE AFO SPECIALIST ABOUT REHAB CENTERS AND THE ONE I ATTENDED DIDN'T MAKE HIS TOP TEN LIST. TOO MUCH INTEREST IN PAPER WORK, NOT ENOUGH IN THE PATIENT.

SO TOMORROW, I HOPE TO TRY MY REDESIGNED SUPPORT OUT. ACTUALLY, I'D RATHER HAVE RAIN.

THE HOSPITAL NEVER CALLED, SO I GO BACK AGAIN FRIDAY NIGHT FOR ANOTHER SLEEPOVER. I GUESS I HAVE SLEEP APNEA, AND WILL BE GETTING THE LITTLE MACHINE. ANYTHING FOR A GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP.

IF IT WEREN'T FOR ALL THE APPOINTMENTS, LIFE WOULD BE DULL AND RELAXING. IT MAKES ME FEEL GOOD THAT I'M MAKING SO MUCH MONEY FOR SO MANY PEOPLE. ALL US SURVIVORS KEEP THE ECONOMY GOING.

Welcome to the world of CPAP. My husband has sleep apnea- he has had his machine for about 6 yrs. it makes a noise but better than his snoring.

Persevere with it you will feel better after a while

Good luck

Do you ever think the CPAP machine reminds you of the headpiece in a electrocusion chanber? Guess it's just my weird sense of humor. My BIL used one and even had a portable for traveling. Noise and all, they are life-savers, I guess.
