Baked Peach French Toast

 

 

10 - 14 Slices French bread

1 package (3-ounce) Cream cheese

1 can (20-ounce) Sliced peaches, drained

1 1/4 cup Chopped nuts

1 cup Milk

1/3 cup Maple syrup

3 Eggs, beaten

2 tablespoons Butter, melted

1 tablespoon Sugar

1 tablespoon Cinnamon

1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

 

Preheat oven to 375

I'll have to add that one to my recipe book. Does it work with other fruits as well? Like strawberries or any berries for that matter?

YEA, it probably would work. Just make sure you drain the liquid/syrup off the fruit. Not sure about blueberries though, they might be a little delicate.

I first thing I thought of were the fresh peaches we have sitting in our kitchen right now. Since it is now the time of fresh fruit, it might be interesting to work on a version that includes the fresh variety.

Um sounds yummy. Is it like a souffle or scrambled eggs with oeaches? Can't figure it out. Guess I'll have to try. Putting it with my recipes.
