Incompetence

Well I think I'll keep in the theme of incompetence.But it isn't medical incompetence. It is my long distance carrier, AT&T. I signed up with them two months ago, 7 cents a minute plan and the international plan, I pay a nominal fee each month for the priveledge of getting those rates. Well after speaking with numerous employees of AT&T, no one has gotten me in the system and I am carying a $500.00 phone bill that needs to be re rated and credited to my phone company! How hard is it to take information and put it in the computer at the same time????? What is the big deal?

I just got off the phone with yet another employee of AT&T and I was assured yet again that it is all straigtened out NOW. We'll see, I won't be holding my breath. Does anyone have any long distance companies that are good and charge cheap rates?

Don't anyone suggest Vonage, I found them to be a rip off.

1-800-254-4060. IT'S FOR EVERDIAL.NET. I"VE BEEN USING THEM FOR THE PAST THREE YEARS. OUR RATE IS 4.9 CENTS A MINUTE ALL THE TIME. NO MONTHLY CHARGE. I DON'T KNOW ABOUT INTERNATIONAL CALLS. WE WENT THERE AFTER FIGHTING WITH ALL THE OTHER BIGGIES.

If you want an international plan I suggest screwing the phone company and use them just for regular long distance.

 

For international calls use Callingcards.com . Just a quick example is that if I had a friend in London during the bombings I could have bought a digital calling card for $50. That would have been 2632 minutes at 1.9 cents a minute and no connection fee.

we use kiss network for our regular long distance and for iternational we use calling cards which works well for us kiss network 3 centa a minute

wowpam!! 500.00 good lawd hun dat a huge high phone bill wat u been derin callin overseas or somin well good luck in tryin to get it switched

ur right it takes for-ever to get it done but o boy dont b late on dat bill thy will shut u down in a minute seems as if thy dont care bout wat u want as long as thy get there money huh anyway miss pam good luck

i wish i had advice, but i don't. they ALL suck in one way or another. BUT, i had one worse than that. once i switched to some new company, they're out of business no, NO SMALL WONDER, but my phone would not allow me to make outgoing calls once they switched it.

 

so, i get a ladder, climb up to the roof, and plug it in at the main line to get service. when i called them and told them my problem, know what they said? our computer shows you as having a connection. i said'THATS BECAUSE I'M ON MY $#@%## !!!!!! roof!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

i never got any satisfaction so i wrote a letter to the ceo of the comany and told him his service was like green acres. people having to call from there phone poles!!!!!!!!! funny part, till i could get switched back, i would go up on the ladder, sit my drink and an ashtray on the roof to make calls. id say, "I CAN TALK UNLESS IT STARTS RAINING" LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

I have the Verizon Freedom plan. for local, in state long distance and out of state long distance....almost every phone call I make from here is a long distance call, even to call my doctor or my husbands shop..so for one flat fee we can call anytime, in state or out and talk as long as we want.... we have found it to be good for us. and I can go on line and pay my bill.

Pam, we are a vonage user for over a yr now. We love it and pay $27.00 a month unlimited long distance. They give you a router to use. No problems so far.
