Computer Keyboard Cleaning Tips

1. Unplug the keyboard from the computer. This way you will not get electrocuted. Turn your computer off before unplugging your keyboard.

2. You can pop the individual keys off, clean in the area, and pop the keys back on.

3. You can use cans of compressed air to clean in the area underneath the keys as well.

4. After cleaning, plug your keyboard into your computer before turning it on.

5. If all else this fails, you will need to purchase a replacement keyboard.

Actually you can wash the keyboard in the dishwasher. My husband did not know this when he posted (cbramsey). But thanks to my hanging around tech boards, I did. Here is the article on how to do it: http://www.moddingzone.com/articles/keyboardwashing/

Be REALLY careful and make sure you do NOT wash any of the electronics. Liz
