Today was the yearly Orchtober Fest and I feel like I blew the bank! My reasoning is that I will need large floor plants because I haven't much furniture - (well, isn't that a good reason?) I bought 2 large plants which aren't your usual orchids. One is especially beautiful. Now if I don't kill them. ....While everyone looses plants, many don't admit it. I do. In fact I am trying to bring a dead plant back. don't think I'll succeed. biggrin2.gif Well, with those 2 and the small free one they gave, and 2 others. I had a ball buying. I also stocked up on supplies, had German food and heard the Accordian player play German songs. I did not get any beer. LOL. but to the people there seeing me walking, they must have thought I over-loaded on that too. laugh.gif

 

Was a real nice few hours, but good to be home and quietly reading the messages and blogs

Phyllis, that sounds like a wonderful day to me. You can't beat new plants to boost your morale. German food is wonderful too. I have been elated lately because my African Violet has bloomed - it takes such a little to make me happy. I have wanted to grow orchids but never had the nerve to try. What you did is not bad unless you spent the grocery money or house payment. roflmao.gif

Sounds like you had a GREAT day. Oh, the German food..yum

 

I am not great with house plants, occasionally I get one that decides to like me and grow. Bring them in tell them your choice..live or die.

Hope yours do wonderful for you.

The only plants I have in my house are silk plants....I have a black thumb...My outside plants do ok, they're on their own. 15 years ago I surrendered to the notion that I can't grow plants inside. silly.gif
