Wrapping Christmas gifts

I believe it was Lin who said her shopping is done. I HATE YOU! Just kidding of course. I always seem to be "a last minute running around shopper" My intentions are always good and I am one of the nuts that partakes in the day after Thanksgiving madness.

Then there is the wrapping. I thought the whole country heard me laughing when Lin said her packages looked like they were packed by a 5 year old child or something like that. Meet your twin!. This morning I had to pack several gifts that were going to be taken to a meeting, I had forgotten to take them the first time and I have dillied-dallied wrapping them. They are going to be taken to South Florida for the children whose lives were made miserable by Hurricane Wilma, The same woman had taken school supplies (since they now must be purchased not given as when I went to school in the dark ages) to Mississippi for students. She meets with a local counterpart who knows what to do with them (where to take them for distribution) My problem that was especially bad was applying the tape. I finally realized that I had to use my left hand to apply it so it would hit the right place. LOL. As it was, they didn't get any ribbons. That would have taken a year and my sister was the one going to the meeting. I had hoped she would have taken the curly stuff and a scissors and do them in the car but it was late. They had very pretty gift wrap so I suppose kids don't really care.

BTW, the bikers have a Sunday when they have a caravan to South Florida where they meet and leave presents. There are always some who have huge stuffed animals tied to the motorcycles. In fact they close a section of the Interstate so they can proceed. Very nice of a group that is often maligned.

One other thing. Always leave one bow (at least) to be done before bed on the 24th. Too long of a story for this time.

So glad someone mentioned Christmas!!! I hadn't thought of it. The people I have to ----scratch that----WANT to buy for are men & they are the HARDEST to buy for.

Before that, my son has a birthday, my husband has a birthday, our son graduates from college (after a long absence), we have some legal business in Texas, then there's Christmas, New Years & our wedding anniversary!!! How's that for an agenda??? Who has time for a bow?

I'll have to make some cookies & cranberry bread.

Wow; I've sudely got a lot to do!

Cheers all 'round hiya.gif
