Flu?

Hummm.gif I woke up Saturday about 3 am, I felt HORRIBLE, laid in bed, had the worst headache...then nausea, headed to the bathroom... got a cold wash cloth and crawled back into bed... almost woke John to take me to ER, then I got back up and took a nausea pill and a half a vicodan, crawled back to bed...finally fell back asleep to be awoken by my stomach doing flipflops with grumbles, back to the bathroom..... yikes.gif

John woke up and checked on me.. I handed him my wash cloth and mumbled and finally got out to make it cold, he said it's HOT, did you just make it hot..I said no it's hot from my head...He said you don't look to good.. dry.gif

well I was supposed to cook Turkey dinner today, (for the kids too) I talked to them Friday and they have been sick. Grandson, Bill has had a fever, headache, etc. He had gone to the Dr and Dr thought he had tonsilitis or strep, his tonsils were huge. Started him on some antibiotic's..he was still feverish (101 to 103) they tried to draw blood, but said he was dehydrated and couldn't get it. He is to go back in tomorrow if he still has a fever. Yesterday it was still going up and down with Motrin every 4 hours.

Not having company, but John did put the turkey in the barbecue.. so it will be just the two of us today.

I am feeling a little better this am. The fever is gone.. just feeling a little woozy and definately not up to par... sad.gif

We got our flu shots, but they take a few weeks to be effective...

I am feeling lucky if this only lasts 24 hours.....

Woke up this am to about an inch of snow, wow what a surprise.... it is so pretty, it is starting to go quickly now the sun is coming out.

There have only been a few times I have seen snow here in November... it has been snowing up in the Mountains, and all the ski resorts have opened. I do like to see the snow, everything looks so crisp and clean, I just prefer it up in the mountains...now. I grew up in a valley of the Allegheny mountains in PA and remember playing, sledding, ice skating... a winter wonderland.

Today I can enjoy the snow from inside... and maybe have a little walk around the yard...

Hi Bonnie,

Glad you're feeling better. BTW, it is now 4 pm my time so 1:00 yours. Since there are only the 2 of you, my dog and I will be flying to your home on my broom to help you eat the turkey.

Come to think of it though, forget it; we don't need to get the flu or whatever it was you had. roflmao.gif

PS you can use what we would have eaten for sandwiches, salad, a la king or tetrazini, hot sliced sandwiches, etc. etc. etc.

Hey Tom and Phyl, Well the white stuff is almost gone, just little patches in the shade..

Phyl I will send you & your pooch some "virtual turkey & trimmings"

No, I sure wouldn't want to pass this on... My sisterin law & husband cook with a lot of spices, rubs, etc...so not sure if it was food... but I did have a fever. It seems to be on it's way out...so .... will knock on wood.

We got a vacuum sealer a couple weeks ago. So it will be busy later...

Yes we love turkey left overs and tetrazini is one of my favorites.
