Days Off???

My two days off have come and gone in a blurr. Yesterday I tried to finish up the Christmas shopping, and had felt like the finish line was in sight. I stayed up until 2am wrapping them all. It really shouldn't have taken that long, but I was already tired and I had to disguise the gifts so my boys wouldn't know what they were getting as soon as they saw the boxes. Trying to figure out what misc. household items I could use to help keep the gifts from shifting around in the boxes and adding weight is time consuming. I just hate it though if they know right away whats in the box.

Today I got a massage. I decided last week I would use my gift certificate that I recieved in September for the massage whether I had time for it or not. I didn't have time, but I did it anyway. Sometimes you just gotta say "screw it" and do what you need to even when you don't have time. Let me tell you, I HURT. She kneaded my muscles so hard I thought she was trying to make a loaf of ciabatta out of my back and shoulders. I am pretty sure she left some muscle attached to my body. Next time we go for the "relaxing massage". I forgot what she called this one, but it was a bit lighter than a deep tissue. I cannot even fathom what one of those must feel like: a gang initiation, maybe?

After the massage, it was off to the bakery to pick up a birthday cake for Patrick. Tomorrow is his 37th birthday. I also finished up his birthday shopping, took the boys to the mall to pick up some gifts, made "hostess" cupcakes (with cream filling, chocolate frosting and white swirly things on top and all) to take to work tomorrow- whom by the way is expecting me to arrive at 6am. Okay, I am expecting me to arrive around 6:10am. We'll see who wins in the morning. I am gonna wager ME.

After work tomorrow, I am off for two more days. It would be outstanding if I had a chance to relax on one of them, but I have to drive 3+ hours to my SIL's house for festivities on Sunday, then drive back Monday. Maybe I can catch some sleep on the way, although this seems to cause a bit of stress for the passengers for some reason. Sissies.

I stopped into the chat party tonight for a minute- wish I could have stayed. Of course, even if I hadn't had to run, I still would have not "stayed" for long.I was there all of ten minutes and got, what, two or three seperate occasions of "WELCOME BACK!" Somehow I always manage to back space myself right on out the chat room. If I could just learn to type better I wouldn't need to back space so much, and I'd be in like Flynn!

Until then, you guys are going to have to keep gluing my shoes, duct taping me down, and tying me up. Wow- I haven't had that much excitement in months!

Kristen,

Glad you came, even if you didn't sit still and enjoy the show. Got any duct tape left?

As often as I come and go during chat, they could call me the "Goodbye-Girl, OH WAIT, Welcome Back-Girl". I would go in more if that didn't happen every five minutes.

I really do wish I could have hung around, would've been fun to get to talk with everyone!
