Well, well, well we have all arrived, just one week, 7 days before the end of another year in the lives of many Survivors and Caregivers. That's my point, we are still here, although others have departed.

If your new year's resolution was to lose weight, can you do it in 7 days? If it was to feel better, I'll bet you made some improvements. I hope everybody made their expectations come true.

I will hope the troops in harms way get to come home to their families and friends next year. All survivors everywhere improve greatly, and all caregivers can get some time to take care of themselves more than they did this year. I guess I got big hopes. I hope my wife can get re-employed and continue with her career. I would be over joyed.

Looks like with all the recipies around these last few days, we'll all be overweight. That should put us back in the norm, since they say it's a growing thing these days. Fast food joints are trying to serve healther meals.

I don't think there is a hamburger establishment that doesn't sell some sort of chicken sandwich or meal now. I'm waiting for popeyes, church's, KFC and other chicken joints to start selling hambugers. They all sell fish already.

If this was not a good year for you for whatever reasons, then 2006 is got to be better. Maybe not as many hurricanes or strokes for a change. I can't stand another 20 family members in a house built for a family of four.

My estimates for total house cleaning and repairs are as high as $800, so that idea is on hold for now. Atleast they had a place to live, so I'm happy we were available to accomadate their needs. We only suffered one death, my wife's dad, during the hurricane.Thusday, his body was identified finally by FEMA, after my wife did DNA results to compare his remains for ID.
