I've been really AWOL this week. Gotta a call from the kids principle asking if I would be interested in helping in the office for the rest of the year (till June 8th) cause their office manager quit that very day over a school decision. Kinda good, cause it was kinda scary going in that office when she was there, she was so crabby. Anyway the other office lady and the other mom that is doing the bookkeeping the other 1/2 of the day that I'm not to be in yet for the day are both really nice and I like them both. So I was pretty stunned I could fall into such a situation. Now I'm almost scared they won't ask all of us to stick together as we seem to work together really good. Such a shocker-sometimes stuff falls together when you're not even thinkin of it... :Clap-Hands: <_< Haven't felt this gooooooooooood in a long time! Now if it just lasts..Just good timing, I had been volunteering once a week for an hour or so, so that they could all have a staff meeting... :chat: :cheer: Literally 1 mile from our house to boot! How'd I ever get this lucky? The principle even told me now the teachers aren't afraid to come in the office anymore either. lol

Yeah, now it's early and I have to grocery shop (and a good 25 minutes away)and it is a store that gets crowded and known for their prices and I'm pooped. I'm only suppose to worked till 4:30 but the director was gone to a meeting till 5:40and everyone else walked out at 5 but all the other office people were gone between 3:30 and 4 and I didn't think the director would be gone that long and I didn't feel right just walking out of the office and leaving it wide open like that but then when he finally walked in from his imp meeting, it's like "what are you still doing here?", no one has yet to describe office procedure to me, so it was irritating, specially cause I'vebeen having my parents stay with the kids till I'm home. Never even got a thanks for being considerate about the safety of the office. :( No one's had time to even discuss pay or duties, just what they want for hours.....

Jan,

I think it is wonderful that you got this opportunity, and as to the reply you posted to your entry....Welcome back into the world of employment and politics and the rat race! I'll stay retired and keep out of the politics, I don't miss that part of being employed at all.

Its a way to make the last few weeks of school fly but now I'm startin to have a new found appreciation for not having to live with my hair on fire 5 hours a day. Makes home look pretty tame! Its just I've got a kid to get ready for graduation on the 7th and since I don't leave till 4:30 I'm prayin the haircuttin gal works late so I can take him then....Now to just make it to the 8th but then I'll miss that little extra pin $ which THEY STILL have not told me what it is....DH says they are afraid I walk! No way, I like them all and I know how in dire this babe left them...
