I've actually done my own personal study (because I have no life) on how much money/time I spend cooking a meal vs. just buying the same already prepared meal. There is no comparison, it's cheaper and easier to let someone else make it. Doesn't mean I don't cook, but not near as much as I used to.

This is how I rationalize take out, but honestly I'm just lazy.

You've just learned my "cooking" secret. Get yourself a binder and fill it full of take out menus and labels off ready made meals you can buy at the supermarket and call the binder your cook book. Been working for me for decades. Life is too short to spend it in the kitchen unless cooking, too you, is an art form you really enjoy doing.

hey vicki!!!

i TOO spend hours in the kitchen when i should just "order out". although even though i LOVE the art of cooking, i RESENT "having" to cook for people with their beaks open like hungry little birds, that many times i just order out. especially when i'm in one of my "im unappreciated" moods like today!!!!! tonight it's 1-800-STEAKOUT!!!!!
