Unreal Experience

Aussie Ken

Last Wednesday i had my first Hydrotheropy session and i came through with flying colours, but it was like doing a moonwalk my affect right side seam to be floating away when i was placing my foot to take another step, but i did 2 crosses of the pool with no stumbles, i then did a serious of stepping and balance exercises and arm and shoulder ones. Although i was tired that afternoon the warmth of the water stimulated the nerves and when doing a walk i could feel the calk muscle working. if only this rotten drop foot would go away. But it has inspired me to keep thying. i'm really looking forward to the session next week.

Ken,

Wonderful report. As in everything for us survivors, it takes time. Thankfully you didn't do a belly-flop and/or drink the water. Next week will be even better I bet. My affected leg would probably float away on me. I think most of the time my AFO is what holds it down.

Keep up the good work :i_did_it!:

ken,

yeah for you! i really enjoyed water therapy and look forward to getting back to it. i am glad you are going to go again - the simple resistence of the water makes us stronger and helps balance. i love the added plus of if i fall the only thing that could happen is a bad hair day! cheers! kathy

hey Ken:

I was so looking forward to your hydrotherapy report and I am happy to know it is working, hopefully by next time your right foot will decide to walk instead of floating away.
