Well, the first week of being back on full time employment is in the bag! It was not really too difficult. Today we did a demo run of our recently acquired 1,000 ton press brake and edge roller. All results were satisfactory. However, about half way through the operational test; one of the Maintenance Mechanics hand signaled me that my pants were unzipped! Oh, the pain! Obviously my zipper had been down since I left the house this morning. I guess I need to make up a checklist and tape it to the front door to remind myself each day to make sure I have accounted for the

Paula is here with me and we just read your blog for today together! We are still laughing with you! I love your sense of humor! There are those that would say our family is twisted wrong but I happen to think we are the ones that survive with humor!

Hey Bubby, the important question is "can you extend your middle finger and say HOWDY"?

It's been a good week for you. YAY!

:congrats:

And I guarantee you can extend that middle finger to say howdy, at least with your right hand.

By the way-- Happy Day Before Your Birthday!!!!!!

It is so encouraging when a stroke survivor returns to work. There have to be some daily challenges but these are certain to dissipate as time goes by. BTW, you have superb writing skills in expressing yourself. I look forward to your blogs and humor.

First of all Wes, Happy Birthday to YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You got through the first week back full-time - Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's amazing how the things we did automatically before stroke we have to now take the time and think about them. The day will come for you where they will be automatic again. However, to keep you on your toes, there will be days when (as I reference to it) the damaged cells are in control and the automatic things are forgotten and we are once again humbled.

With your sense of humor, you will conquer all the tiny roadblocks in your path.

Wesley, Congratulations on your Birthday and your "Back to Work" Status. I urge you to take it easy, don't over do it and take it from someone who went back to work after stroke, take it easy and know it is a blessing to be where you are, no matter where that is. You are an inspiration. I am proud of you! You Go Wesley.
