I seem to remember Mom telling you to slow down when you talk a long, long time ago. Ha! Happy to hear that the speech therapist threw you out.

One bite at a time--- I can relate. Lots of elephants here to be eaten one stick, one tree, one log at a time.

I'm soooo tired!!!! But I guess we'll both stick with the elephant diet.

Yeah! One bite at a time! That is how we will end up cleaning up this ice storm mess too! The challenge looks overwhelming and will only get done "one stick [or tree] at a time each day! Sounds like you got some good advice from the speech therapist today!

When you are busy, there's less time to think about how stroke has affected us. I keep busy and feel this has contributed to my recovery, too. We adapt and make some changes, and thankfully life goes on.

Wes,

It's a good thing the therapist sent you home with handouts. Keeping busy not only makes the time go faster but keeps our good brain cells actively churning. And....no time to sit on the pity pot for extended periods of time.
