Hi

This is my first Blog so bear with me. I'd like to say the people I have met here are great!! I had a Left Thrombotic Stroke on Dec. 10, 2006. It affected the Right side. I have no use of my right hand and have been amazed at what I can do with my left hand. On June 6, 2008 I got my driver license back. It was a happy day for me. To get my freedom back was grate. :laughbounce: I must say the people here are great and helpful. I like Stroke Net very much.

Welcome to blogging! You'll do great. Looks like you have been driving for almost a year now. That's wonderful! I stroked in April of '07 and didn't drive for about 9 months. Now I'm out and about as much as possible.

Look forward to your future blogs.

Hi Bruce

Welcome to the wonderful world of blogging. We are a small community compared to the whole of Strokenet but we get to learn a lot about each other and that is great. By reading and adding a comment to what another blogger has written you can reach out around the world, as I am doing sitting here on the east coast of Australia typing this to you.

I look forward top reading your blogs and getting to know you better.

Hi Bruce!

GREAT first entry! Our stroke dates weren't very far apart--mine was 12/13/06. It affected my entire left side and my left arm and leg remain mostly paralyzed.

I'm hugely impressed by your progress and it hasn't gone unnoticed that among other things you've obviously trained yourself (and have the patience!) to type with your left hand! You mentioned that you're right-handed, so I think that's a tremendous accomplishment--good for you!!!

I blog as well, and it really does help me to calm down and put a "voice" to feelings that otherwise can be hard to express.

Keep up the good work!

Pam

Bruce,

Great to see that you started a blog, have taken the plunge into the blog community and are benefiting and enjoying the site. We're happy you're here with us too, unfortunately under the circumstances, but it's great you're a part of us nonetheless.
