went to the olympic games,in vancouver,

hi there as you know the olympics is in CANADA, well any way i got tickets to the mens 500meters speed skating , held in ricmond at the richmond oval, and it was so exciting , we left for the games at 9:00 and i took my scooter and my grandson christian and my wife who walk and my daughter who walk as well and while we were on our way we took a picture on my scooter and i will post it and i will callit on the road to yhe olypics, any way when we arrive the place was packed, but because i was in my scooter i got to go first,lol got to have some benifits right?any way they had a place to seat you for handicap seats and luckily it was the best seat in the houseand christian remained on my lap while i watch the speed skating unfolded in front of me and the man from neitherland was racing the guy from itily and the guy from the neitherland broke the record for the fastest time in olymoic 500men speed race and then you know they even have a camera mounting on a track that will speed down to keep up with the racers while they are racing it was fabulous , i wasn"t able to take a picture of the race because no flash photographer was allowed but i dis get a picture of the richmond oval building and the arensa and a shot of me with christian on my lap going for the little spin well i am so sorry that my writing ability isn"t well enough, to capture the excitement and the wonderful experiance being at the olympics and watching the athelites doing its very best to bring home the gold for his country and experance along side with my family, that was truley special, and now on sunday it is valentines day so i will be of to take my wife out to a chinese resturant, and present her with a rose so may you all have a very happy valentines day , and i hope that you are enjoying the olymoic games ofv the coverage on tekivision and happy valenyines to you all

How exciting for you and your family to be able to attend the speed skating events at the Olympics. We watched them on television today and I probably saw you but you didn't wave, so can't be sure. LOL Sometimes being in a wheelchair or scooter has it's advantages, especially when it comes to seating at major events. Hooray for you. Glad you all had a good time and Happy Valentine's Day to you and your family also.

Wow Lenny, fancy you being there right beside the track on such a great occassion as the Olympics. Ray and I are watching the Games as time permits and are really enjoying what we have seen so far.

 

I am glad you were able to have Christian with you too. Whether he will remember or not I don't know but you will have those pictures to remind you both that on that special day you were there!

I could see all the excitement and happiness beamin through this blog. It felt like we were also seating right beside you and enjoying the event. I was showing off to my son saying that my strokenet friend is actually at the event in the richmond oval wearing red sox hat. so he was scanning for you. I bet you all had lovely valentines day together. I am enjoying my valentines day with my family at ski lodge enjoying our son learning snowboarding.

Lenny how exciting for you and Your family. You happiness and excitement shine through.. thank you for sharing. We have been watching some of the Olympics on TV. I have noticed the traffic on the freeway seems a bit buisier.. The cars have to go through Bellingham to get to the border.there are signs up for people driving to use certain border crossings.

 

I went to Vancouver for Expo, and I rember how exciting it was to see the exhibits. Iam sure Christian will have exciting and happy memories especially with the photos with grandpa.

 

I hope you had a lovely dinner out with your wife.
