close encounter

Recommended Posts

Just spent 4 days in critical care at the hospital, went into emergency with severe angina attack well thats what i thought anyway after 48 hours they found out the arteries to and from my heart had a disease couldn't say exactly what but have made arrangements for me to see specialist in Brisbane , if you thought you were going to die i thought that for 2 days, then spent 2 days in recovery. they allowed me home as long as i allowed a full time nurse to accompany me for a few days. After all i have been through i never thought one could be so ill, makes one wonder when everything will return to normal or as close as possible. Set me back a little but will get there, Stephen sorry i have missed our chats maybe soon i will get back to them

Hey Allan

Thinking about you and saying a prayer. Sometimes it does seem like it's a constant uphill battle. I know it will get better for you.

Looking forward to seeing you in chat sometime soon.

Hugs Anne

Wow, Allan, you are certainly an interesting mecdical specimen. Some doctor will find you worth writing a book about in the futre. You have more than your share of trouble, that is for sure.

I bet you are glad you are back home, and wondered if that was ever going to happen. I hope the nurses treat you well. I second hosthank's prescription - one scotch on the rocks before bed.

Pleased you are hanging in there mate.

Sue.

This thread reminded me that when I was in hospital for the week after my brain bleed, I had the most profound sense of peace and serenity about the world around me.

Is this some kind of self defence mechanism in the mind that hides the seriousness of our situation from us?

Hi mjh,

Not to take away from this thread but - You might not be aware of what all things allanr has endured following the stroke. I encourage you to read his other topics and you will get further insight as to all that has happened to him.
