About this blog

A big part of our coming back from these brain injuries is 1st accepting that this injury has and will change the rest of our lives. We know it's not something in a cast that will heal and be good as new again. That is all good and important to help us. With this comes the need not to make excuses for ourselves. We learn our limits and figure out ways to accomplish the simplest tasks and even complicated tasks sometimes but there are some things that will forever be out of our reach now. That's fine, we know all this and if we are smart don't make excuses. I can't remember if I did before the injury or not.

Now what this has become for me is an intolerance of what we use to refer to as excuse bags. I am humored by it and am grateful for the enlightenment it has brought about people. It has left me 2nd guessing some of my choices for some of my friends now that we are all older and can no longer use youthfulness as an excuse. Where they've ended up is disappointing. I have the same feeling watching some my nephews as they get older and have accomplished very little. ✌️ to all.
