Autumn begins

We finally have some good weather predicted. Cool, but sunny. Jen laundered our comforter and I brought up a space heater to avoid having to turn the furnace on, got the flannels and sweatshirts out-Fall in New England, nothing like it.

Mary Beth in New Hampshire is just about at half peak. We here, further south, some early Maples changing, but that is it. We have just come off a week of rain and cold. I am so sorry for the Southwest with their drought conditions, but we here in the NE are just being dealt way too much moisture.

A close friend is a Climatologist, I will have to ask Frank to look into this, but figure it is one of those patterns that crop up from time to time.

Four family birthdays this week. Everyone was OK lets do this or that. Well Bruce can not handle all of that, so everyone due here on Saturday. Mary Beth and Brittany will cook. I have all three guest rooms ready, will do the BRs probably on Friday. Whoever stays, is OK and yes, you are on your own-lol. Hope to do a walk on the beach on Saturday and then lunch at a family restaurant.

I love the fall, especially being a New Englander. Should be a terrific year with the color as to our rain-snowfall. All provisions in, except today we realized we did not get paper plates. How did that not make the shopping lists? Messed up again-lol.

Bruce and I talked today about having to move in the future-downsize, better climate. But for now am glad we have this big house and yard, can accomodate my large family and have our four seasons. The Goddess doth prevail-as my Bruce says.

Debbie, Larry and I had your area to visit on our list - near New Hampshire to see the fall colors. I guess we will have to settle for our fall here. The bright red burning bushes are in bloom and the yellows in the trees are bright. My Japanese Maple tree has not turned but it is big and should go to a bright orange. Fall's flowers are in the leaves.

Enjoy the colors of your beautiful area.
