past weekend we celebrated our kido's 15th birthday. My baby is growing up so fast. he is turning into great young mature adult who makes his parents very proud. We were asking him what he wants for his birthday & he says I have everything I want, made me so happy & proud of him. I feel so blessed to have survived the stroke to be able to enjoy raising him well with my soulmate. can't believe in few years he will be off to college & only two of us will be left. I know how difficult life was right after my stroke & my homecoming as newly disabled person who had lost her footing in life, but thanks to hubby's strength & love I got out of that dark tunnel & enjoying this second chance with my family. I have grown up great deal in my wisdom, that sometimes I am even thankful to stroke.

Asha, I am so pleased you have so much pleasure raising your son. He has come through his fifteen years remarkably well. Your husband is a good man, both in how he has enabled you to be who you are now and in raising a fine son.

You have grown a great deal in your wisdom and have shared it for the benefit of many here.

Wow - 15 years. I can hardly remember when mine were that young. lol I'm sure he is proud to have you and your husband as parents. That is a big gift to him. He sounds like a real sweet person.

It's always nice to read about your blogs and your postive attitude.

Hey Asha I think I know how you feel my friend. Life is all worth living when you can continue to enjoy life, the family and doing things TOGETHER. I'm proud of my second chance at life! It won't be long now he is growing up while his parents are getting a bit older too! I know that feeling and glad I'm still driving my old 10 year old vehicle and able to ride my grand daughter to Walmart so she can BUY!

I pray everyday we as parents can get them off to a college without somebody wanting to bring a gun to class and kill students. The whole world has changed in discipline's of kids. Doing my school years that wasn't heard of bringing a gun to school!

Asha: It was so nice to read your positive blog about your family and your grown-up kiddo. I wish I could have the same joy; I am trying to get to some order and familiarity in my life and without Jerry it is oh so hard. Leah

Oh Asha: your baby! LOL. Britt hates when I do that! It is so wonderful to watch them grow and develop into adulthood. So proud to see their accomplishments, strengths, what grabs them and makes them light up!

Moreso, that you were able to see all of this and relish in his growth, watching him become the man he will. Kisses and hugs to your husband who supported you and your son in all of this and the wonderful family life you have.

Enjoy the day-stretch out the celebrations! Well done Mom and Dad! Debbie
