I feel therapy at any point is helpful brain is amazing & can learn to adapt to new way of seeing. so try to get therapy or do at home therapy yourself which is scanning the side you are neglecting.

Never give up hope that in time things will improve. Even if they don't, you will have that satisfaction you did all you could and the journey will include those activities that may improve daily life as well. On the other hand, accepting the way things are today in this moment is the key to my ability to not give into despair and yet travel forward in hope.

Look at the blessing that you are still able to communicate here and be such a positive light here to us all!  We all live with something now that was unimaginable to us before the stroke and yet we all survive what comes because we are survivors and warriors of the soul. I feel the pain in your post of disappointment and at these times we wait for hope to float and rise to the top again after our hope has sunk low.  You are still going to be a shining star and the hero of your own story no matter what comes.  You are loved as you and you touch lives in so many ways, just like you do on here.  You will be ok.

Sassy Betsy

You are so right about hope for the future yet accepting the reality of today to stave off despair

I think we need to develop our own vocabulary

Let's start with hopceptance.

Acceptance of reality to keep despair at bay yet hope ate the beginning of the word for hope for the future

I have hope and will meet with a beuro opthalmologist just to see if there are any therapy options in the mean time I am going to be working with the commission for the blind

Still waiting on ssdi that can be frustrating to say the least

Peace love and prayers
