I have said for months that this room is hot. Others say so too. Then they close the windo and say let the AC work. I am drenched in sweat. My gowns look like I went in for a real dip in my imaginary pool. I am told to calm down. I state I have heat exhausTion. I cannot think or move. They say it is all these pain killers. I have nausea from the heat and human waste products stewing in roomie's diaper all day. I take zofran to cope and they blame the meds again. Soon they will blame the pain on the pain killers.

So Tonite I called in cna and said I was sweaty, not feeling well and she said npno I am fine here. I said well can I see the nurse and she said what dobyou want to do. See the nurse.

Nurse came in agreed the room was really hot. Hotter than other rooms. She looked close at the vent when I said I think it is closed. She proclaimed call maintenance, the vent is cloeed. Just then a new social worker came in,and I gave her my first complaint,and a few more,and then suggested she leave before I thought of a few more.

By the time we stopped chatting,the guy came to open the vent. She promised to fix a few other situations. Anyway the guy had to remove the entire vent,it was painted in,stuck closed he had to take it out to repair it. He said he felt fresh air coming out.

Then roomie started. She said this used to be the coldest room on the floor. She said it was colder in this room than it was outside in winter. I said after suffering the heat all summer in this room, I look forward to cold. She said oh none likes the cold in this room as if it was a portal to the arctics. I cautiously asked if anyone got too cold in this room,too cold the vent was closed? She said she did not recall. Then she said maybe.

Then she put tv on loud,ignored me. She said it was going to get too cold in here. I said they would have thermostat on,and we could cover up. She worried about shower in the morning. I said they make sure no one is cold. I am now convinced the vent was closed for her. She is not talking to me tonight. I think she is upset I put this whole thing in action. I would never let her be too cold.

On the other hand,I watch how she controls everyone letting her stink, I wonder how she could let me suffer for so long. Well I hopr it works out fine.
