never ever forget the stroke does not define you

Hi Pearl, please to hear the good news. Stroke is a journey, fill of ups and downs. My right side was useless, and walked with a cane. Also falling alot.  My father told me when you fell "get up'.  I did, it hurt, but life was to short to be laiding on the floor and feeling sorry for my self.  It took time, but when I made five steps, i was so proud. It was like I had  won a million dollars.

 Now my dear after four years, I am walking without a can, walking every day up to five miles! Yes!,. I do sometimes fall, but I get up and say here I am, lets go. Like it was said in the post before me , don't  let stroke define you.
