I must be loosing it

Friday - well still to me because I haven't gone to bed yet.

As some of you know, I work as a field merchandiser. This simply means I go from store to store and merchandise products for whatever company I'm working for rather than being employed by a store and only working in the one place. As such I'm also paid by the job rather than receive a weekly salary. I work for several companies and like the variety. Before this stroke, I had wonderful jobs for some great companies. As long as I'd get the work done within a certain time space, I could do whatever job or jobs I chose to do when I wanted to do them, but if they were once a month, they had to be a month apart. One job was weekly and I went on the same day every week but could change it 1 day either way if need be. Things now are a little different.

On Thursdays and Fridays, my major job is merchandising magazines in Lowe's and books and magazines in Home Depot. I also work in a grocery chain working with a line of travel sized over the counter drugs - such as 2 pack Bayer aspirin, Tylenol, No Doz etc. and unlike before these jobs do not meld together. I found myself having to go to a grocery before I could go to Lowe's and Home Depot as well as go to a different grocery after. It makes the end of the week very tiring. Before I c ould stay closer to home and work fewer hours on Friday. I enjoyed that because people always seem in such a rush to start their weekend and I don't particularly like being on the road when they are rushing to get home.

Today (Fri.) I had to go to the grocery store to get an order. It is one of the more difficult stores and I wasn't looking foward to it, but to my surprise, things went well. I got back into the car and drove to Lowe's and went into the back room to get the order and it wasn't there. The paper work wasn't hanging on the cage door either as it usually is. I asked everyone around if they had seen where the magazines were and no one had. No magazines, no work, no pay and worst of all, having to deal with my company which I don't care for that much. I was really getting upset. Then I saw the girl who checks me out and my "lightbulb" started to flicker. I asked, "Was I here yesterday?" She answered yes, and I said,
