Back on stage literally and metaphorically
As I continue my journey I was challenged okay may be prodded to get "back on stage." I love theater, I has always been a part of my life, except the past 2.5 years.
This last weekend I was involved with the Stage production with our local Community Theatre Group which I've been a part of for the last 32 years.
I was very apprehensive with my memory issues about going back on stage.
A discussion with my councilor a few months ago she said to me I promised I would never tell you what to do but I think you need to find some way to get involved with the theater because when you talk about your face just lights up.
I took that chance a different Trail on my journey a part of the old me and oh what fun it was. not only the excitement of being back on stage but the love and support from both old and new friends an old friend "I just wanted you to know how wonderful it is to have you back here with us that kind of support you can do almost anything.
Old and new friends alike providing support physical assistance as require, during the curtain call we did a simple dance step, which I never did get right. a few times I lost my balance and two friends said don't worry we won't let you fall.
As I said community theater has been a part of my life for the last 32 years I am not ready to retire from that yet.
I am so glad I took a chance.
We all have that one thing from our pre stroke life that may be your chance to "get back on stage" with the support and encouragement from family and friends it can be a positive experience Perhaps my victory will help encourage others to get back on their stage if it does please share this was such a huge victory
with love and support of family and friends many things are possible.
Be Blessed and be blessing,
JAY
