The house is ready

Yep, this weekend I finally got our house ready for Lisa to move around in. No tables to work the walker out of the way. The kitchen has been set to "wheelchair-height". The computer desk is out of the upstairs hall. Lisa actually took a nap in her own bed yesterday. Both the cats climbed up there with her and she said it was the best nap she's had in a long time.

We have a Care Conference next week and hopefully the last one. It's looking like Lisa should be home for Thanksgiving. I have a Home Evaluation this Thursday with OT/PT at our house to see where to place some grab bars and other adaptive things. The wheelchair I bought is coming in today. She has been very excited lately. I think Lisa realizes the end is finally in sight. Our children are seeing it, too. This past weekend was the first in a long time that they were both home for both days. It was like "normal" as they said.

So, it's looking up!!

Okay,

I know I am not as excited as you, Lisa, the kids and the family about her return home. But I AM getting the diet soda chilled as we speak so I can toast you both when the moment arrives.

Take Care

Kristen
