Stars on Ice

Yesterday I got a call from someone I used to work with at the post office. Out of everyone I worked with, she always keeps in touch, takes me out to lunch periodically.... So she tells me she's going to the Stars on Ice show in Albany at the Pepsi Arena. I'm impressed, I think that is a cool thing to do, Seeing professional skaters live. So she says and the reason I'm calling is a friend who was going is sick and I have this ticket, would you like to go? We'll be leaving in less then two hours. WOULD I?????? I never missed a beat saying I'd love to!

I watch skating on and off, enough to know the names. I can't put into words how awesome seeing the show in person was and Kenny Rogers did most of the music for the sakaters. It was being taped to be shown on NBC on Dec.26, so as an added bonus, I got to see the do overs.

We are standing in line outside the Pepsi and everyone is talking about "Kenny", I look at the 2 women I am with and say "Kenny who"? They got hysterical. Like how was I supposed to know Kenny Rogers was performing live there? I live my life like Mr. Magoo or a airheaded blond, I never know what is going on, but at least it is interesting.

What an awsome opportunity! I've seen a couple of live ice skating shows, too, and have often wished to see another one. You'll have to remind us all later when that show airs on TV so we can try to pick you out of the audience.

Lucky you! Hope you had fun. Rolly and I got to go to the Stars on Ice in Sacramento last year, and it was just awesome. We've watched figure skating together forever, and it was so cool to see some of our favorites live. I felt like a kid in a candy store!
