Lots of people who haven't had strokes make the same exact mistake.

I've also seen parents at these events who are so intend on getting a good video that they forget there is more to enjoying the performance than what they see through a view finder. Your daughter's childhood will not suffer if you miss a video opportunity once in a while so don't be hard on yourself when you make your next camera mistake.

It's not just the stroke, I handed my digital camera to my mephews wife to take a picture of all of us together (we were taking turns) she hit the video button, so instead of a picture I have some blurry video...lol

my husband does the same thing and I have too..videos of the floor or shoes.

Don't feel bad, Amy! It's happened to the best of us. Remember when the press took pictures of Clinton overlooking gravesites in France, I believe, Clinton was looking thru binoculars & some one forgot to take off the lens cap!! Pretty stupid...& more stupid to pose for a photo-op & stare into 2 black holes because the caps weren't taken off.

Chalk it up to education...you'll never do that again!
