A calm fall weekend

Today, has been a beautiful day, weather-wise. There is peace in the Stern household.

Son, Jesse is holding on and trying not to panic about his dad, Joe and Joe's cancer. Both are scared about the possibilities.

Both guys got up early and took pictures of a 5K run and posted them on the internet for possible orders. If you'd like to see them....go to www.partypics.com and use password of stern .

Joe is feeling the effects of the chemotherapy...feels crummy, gut hurts,low-grade fever, tired.

Son and husband both spent 3 hours blowing and picking up leaves...15 garbage bags full.

Husband needs to 'fatten up'...he'd lost 15 pounds prior to chemo and isn't eating well now, either. Every pound he's lost, I've gained. sad.gif

I send out regular updates about Joe and his cancer treatments/care via email to family and friends....much easier than calling everyone, or writing letters. 9 years ago when he had colon cancer, it seemed like an endless calling of friends/family to find out how Joe is doing. Now, with one short email, it's just one time telling of the story, so, don't have to remember who I've told and who doesn't know yet of any new development...just the ones who don't have email are 'in the dark'.

Janice:

isn't technology wonderful, acqutance of ours also kept daily journals of her hubby's treatment on web, rather than talking on phone and going over again and again, it was written very nicely looked like written straight from heart, you are doing great job holding your stern family together

good luck and best wishes
